Each pieces was selected from A grade shell,
The shell of the turtle (onu) is a half pearl or call a Mabe pearl which was chosen carefully.
The carver was looking for an unusual Mabe pearl but with a good luster and beautiful color

The Tipanie flower is called Plumeria and Frangipani on other parts of the world.
